Team USA

Q:When do the Olympic Games begin?
A: The next games begin on February 12, 2010 in Vancouver, Canada. Approximately 5500 athletes and officials will participate.

The Paralympic Games begin on March 12, 2010 in Vancouver.
Q:How do I get tickets for the Games in Vancouver?
A: Co-Sport is the official ticket agent of the 2010 Olympic Games and for ticket information contact them at 1-877-457-4647.
Q:Is the U.S. Olympic Committee a non-profit organization?
A: Yes, the U. S. Olympic Committee is a federally chartered non-profit charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Q:Why should I make a donation to the U.S. Olympic Committee?
A: Remember, America doesn't send its athletes to the Olympic Games, Americans do. We have a great tradition of supporting our team at the grass roots level, unlike most of our competitors, who are funded by the government.

Right now the United States is not even among the top five nations in terms of funding our Olympic Team. And it's not because the U.S. Team is getting less support, quite the contrary. The problem is that other countries have dramatically increased funding for their teams!
Q:How do I make a donation?
A: Donations can be made through any of the following methods:

  1. Credit card contributions can be made via the internet at www.teamusa2010.org or www.teamusa.org

  2. Credit card contributions can be made via the telephone by calling the U.S. Olympic Committee at 1-888-222-2313

  3. Credit card or check contributions can be made via the mail to:
      US Olympic Committee
      National Processing Center
      P. O. Box 7010
      Albert Lea, MN 56007-8010
Q:What type of credit cards are accepted for donations?
A: Visa has been America’s Olympic Team Partner for over 20 years and we strongly encourage you to use your Visa card. However, we are able to take all major credit cards for donations that are mailed in or taken over the phone.
Q:Are donations tax deductible?
A: Yes. The U. S. Olympic Committee is a charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The tax-deductible amount of your contribution is limited to the excess of your gift over the estimated value of benefits provided by the USOC.
Q:How will my donation be used?
A: The U.S. Olympic Committee relies solely on the generosity of our sponsors and donors since we are the only major National Organizing Committee that is not directly funded by the government. Your donation supports U.S. athlete training programs and facilities, such as our three U.S. Olympic Training Centers across the country.
Q:How can I get a receipt for my donation?
A: All donations from $15 to $249 are automatically acknowledged. You will receive an acknowledgement within a month of your donation thanking you for your donation. Please be sure to keep the acknowledgement as your receipt. If your donation is $250 or more, you will receive a personalized letter within a month of your donation.
Q:What dollar amount do I need to donate to receive a gift?
A: The minimum donation to receive a gift is $20.
Q:What size shirt/jacket should I order?
A: All sizes are unisex. We offer medium, large, extra large, and XX large. In general, our apparel runs slightly smaller than a typical adult male’s size. We do not offer children’s sizes.
Q:What method of shipping is used?
A: In order to retain as much of your donation as we can to support our U.S. Olympic athletes, most items are shipped non-profit, bulk through the US Postal Service.
Q:When will I receive my gift?
A: Please allow 8 to 10 weeks from the date you send your donation for your gift(s) to arrive. There are times, however, when we must reorder additional inventory and it may take longer. We ask for your patience and understanding in those instances.
Q:I received fewer gifts than I was anticipating. Why?
A: All items are shipped based on availability and can arrive days or even weeks apart depending on when they are processed. All of your gifts should arrive within 8-10 weeks from when you sent your donation.
Q:I love my gift from the USOC. Can I order another one?
A: If your gift is still an active promotion, you can donate again to receive another. Please contact the U.S. Olympic Committee at 1-888-222-2313 for more information.
Q:How can I receive more mailing labels and notepads?
A: The U.S. Olympic Committee mailings are done by an outside source and we cannot special order labels or notepads. However, if you are currently on our mailing list, it is likely that you will receive more in future solicitations.
